Backpacking around the world on foot in six years. This means 25.000 miles (40.000 km) on five continents: Europe, Africa, the Americas, Australia and Asia. Two brothers—Ferenc and István Ivanics—walk 15-25 miles a day to reach their goal: to arrive home. To arrive home after going around our planet Earth, to arrive home after meeting many different people in many countries. People who live in different cultures, in different environments. People who have one very important common wish: peace. Peace, that is the final goal of the WorldWalk project. And the key is friendship and brotherhood, this is the message they'd like to share, try to tell everybody, every person living on our mother Earth. This is a more or less no budget adventure, the brothers are looking for temporary jobs or the support of the community, this is like a hobo trip. This way they meet many-many local people, and can share their message.

WorldWalk Team is formed by the Ivanics brothers. They are the WorldWalkers, they are the ones walking around the Earth. They are experienced hikers, and also experienced extreme hikers. Ferenc cycled around Europe with a friend, but without money. A couple of years ago István repeated his brothers performance, he travelled around Europe alone with a moped, and also without money. They have walking experiences too: Ferenc taken a walking tour in the wild forests of Monte Negro's mountains, István walked through Monte Negro and Serbia from the Mediterranean Sea to their home in Paliæ. I am Juno, born and raised in Seoul, Korea.

I named my blog “Runaway Juno” after my name, but I am not actually ‘runaway’ from anything.

Currently work at Engineering company as a mechanical engineer and live in Seoul, for now. However, sincerely, traveling is my ultimate passion of life. So I want to call myself as “A travel blogger who designs the world.”.

Since I took a first step into the world of ‘backpacking’, I knew this is going to be a big part of my life. And, I was right. If you are meant to be with something, there’s a sign you can’t describe it by words. That is travel to me.

I opened Runaway Juno for sharing, learning and keeping up my dream of traveling the world. Because it is a part of my life. The joy, thrilling moments, excitement, adventure and most of all, the life.

I plan to be a travel blogger for a while, so this is kind of a dream come true. I have to thank so many great bloggers out there now. They taught me, inspired me and made me intimidated a little but most of all I really appreciate to them. You know who you are!

Why we would do something like that? While growing up we were told that the road to happiness is to go to college, get a good job, get married, buy a house, have children, and save for retirement. We have been fortunate to aquire some Land in Texas, near Big Bend, I call it “The Oasis” and it’s giant Fire Ring is the Center of my own Universe where Serenity, Peace and Love reigns within the Spiritual Space we spend some time of the year, sheltered from the harsher elements North of us. Cooking, riding the motorcycle and sidecar rig, my dog Spirit, my Dear Friends, photography, writing, reading, roasting and drinking coffee, camping, sailing, movies… no television and Life itself… all of the above fills up our moments, one at the time."
